Fancy Nancy meets Carrie Bradshaw

As seen on Holliek's blog earlier this week, we had a photoshoot with our new models for Kristyn's debut at the Local Collection in Fanieul Hall in Boston. Here are some of our favorites:

rainy days....

So this weekend was extremely rainy and dreary... not much I could get done outside in regards to my patio makeover. (but I'm sure I will make up for it this weekend!)

This was a rainy weekend full of birthday parties for us. My good friend Shelly, my nephew Nathan and my lovely Mom were among the birthday bunch!

In leiu of weekend projects I was running my usual errands and hanging with good friends and family. However while running errands I came across this on the side of the road Saturday:

I'm not one to take stuff off the side of the road but it caught my eye. Then I drove by it again on Sunday... still there. Today I was at work talking with Kristyn and daydreaming about this chair. I already had an inspiration for it (see picture below from awesome photographer mom MOMTOG) I wanted to paint it a red or buttery yellow and upholster the seat with something from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden.... mmm I can picture it now. At that point, I called my husband knowing he had the day off and asked him to do a drive by.. low and behold, the chair was still there and he scoffed it up for me :)

Maybe next week I can post a picture of the finished product!

To start off...

So I decided to start this blog to journal all of my weekend projects and a little of everything else in between.

I like to think of myself as a weekend warrior however, I have to be honest.. sometimes I just get plain lazy!

This weekend I like to think I got a lot accomplished. Not everything on my list, but enough!

Spring has definitely sprung and I am in my "outside" mode. Making sure all of the gardens are looking pretty, the house is kept up and all of the other outdoor projects that I plan to accomplish this year. Here is the first:

The front stairs....

I have to say, I think they came out pretty good! 3 cans of "stone" faux paint and presto! Stairs that look like new for $24.... can't beat that!

I also did some sewing this weekend with my friend Kristyn for the shoppe. I have taken a hiatus for a bit so I figured it was about time I get back on track and replenish the inventory in there!

This was the end result of saturday - An adorable blanket for a good friend who is having a baby girl in July! Miss Anna will stay warm in this one:

Now, getting ready to get back to reality!
